How we compare
Fractional hiring in Africa usually means picking between a retained search firm (slow, expensive) and a freelance marketplace (fast, unvetted, DIY plumbing). We built AndAssociates.io because there was a better answer.

Frequently asked questions
- What is the actual platform fee?
- Board and advisory seats carry a one-off ₦100,000 placement fee per seat, charged once the FAST agreement is fully signed, with Govern bundled at no extra cost. Fractional engagements carry a flat 10% platform fee on the company side and 10% on the executive side of every live engagement — 20% blended. The exact figures are on your contract before you sign and stay visible in your account settings.
- Are there any sign-up or subscription fees?
- No. There are no listing, subscription or sign-up fees on either side. The platform earns only on live engagements.
- How does the fee actually get taken?
- When a company pays an invoice, the platform automatically splits the payment: net salary to the executive, statutory taxes to the right authority, platform fees separately. Every line shows on the payslip and receipt.
- Do executive rates include the platform fee?
- Executives quote their own gross monthly rate. The platform fees are shown separately at contract time so both sides know exactly what changes hands each cycle.
- Can I negotiate a custom fee for a large hire?
- Yes — for enterprise engagements and multi-hire relationships. Reach out after signing up and we'll agree a bespoke arrangement.
- Is there a minimum contract length?
- No hard minimum. Most engagements start with a 30-day defined first period and continue month to month by mutual agreement.
- What currencies can I pay and be paid in?
- Contracts and payroll support NGN, KES, ZAR, GHS and USD today, with more currencies added as we expand. You and the executive agree the currency at contract time.
